PHILANTHROCOUNSEL, PLLC founder, Mark Lichterman is an attorney with 25 years’ experience working in the nonprofit world. He has been involved in all types of charitable gift plans not only as the drafting attorney for charitable estate and trust documents, but also as executive director, fund development director and consultant for various organizations throughout the nonprofit community.
Greg Schupra, a nationally recognized estate based giving expert, works closely with and supports Mark and his PHILANTHROCOUNSEL, PLLC clients. Greg’s extensive work in philanthropic planning and management, over the last 3 decades, has assisted thousands of people and their advisers in creating and administering more than $1 billion of charitable wealth plans. Author of the book, “An Unexpected Legacy: Strategies of Generosity,” Mr. Schupra brings an uncommon and practical perspective to his work as a philanthropic adviser by ensuring that organizational and donor philanthropic values, visions, and goals align with their planning.

1. Legal services
PHILANTHROCOUNSEL, PLLC helps its clients with the “back of the house” legal services necessary to implement charitable giving arrangements, including drafting trust agreements and estate transfer documents, from the very basic to the highly sophisticated. In addition, we represent either charities or donors in specific gift transactions, preparing donor gift agreements, creating charitable foundation documents (corporate or trust form), drafting charitable remainder trusts documents, charitable gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, and pooled income fund trusts. And we advise on legal and tax issues in gift administration.
